It’s not the strongest or smartest who thrive; it’s the most adaptable.

AI is accelerating change across every industry. But the real shift isn’t about tools, it’s about how people respond to them.

The ability to learn fast, shift gears and navigate ambiguity has become the real differentiator.

Adaptability means:

  • Letting go of outdated assumptions

  • Learning how to learn again

  • Being comfortable with discomfort

  • Seeing change as a skill, not a threat

And this isn’t just about individuals. Teams and organisations need adaptability at a systems level, in how they make decisions, share knowledge, and evolve ways of working.

“In a world of constant updates, agility isn’t optional. It’s cultural.”  — Heather E. McGowan, Future-of-Work strategist, TEDx Talk, 2022

What’s helped you or your team stay adaptable this year?
