Use this 4-step model to approach your next candid conversation with confidence: 


  1. Frame it: “I’d like to talk about something important. Can we find the right time?” 

  2. State the impact: “When deadlines slip, it affects team delivery and trust.” 

  3. Ask for their view: “What’s your take on what’s happening?” 

  4. Agree next steps: “How can we avoid this happening again?”
